I have been fighting citimortgage since 2012 via Stoppa law group in Tampa when citi ran and sold the note (a fraudulent one) with esculators added in! - to. U.S Bank assoc. - a group of investors - I'm in court as we speak in foreclosure trial. When not one person there can attest to the veracity of the loan! As an aside, citimortgage had us pay $17,400 (in 12 monthly payments) for their modification back in 2009. They took the money and never... Read more

I opened a checking account with Citibank in NYC, and within 60 days started receiving a spam email newsletter from Citibank with various suggestions on how to take vacations, new tech and financial apps and how to use technology for the perfect picnic. I never requested this newsletter, there was no "opt out" or "unsubscribe" link at the bottom of the email, and there was no way to "unsubscribe" on the the "Personal Privacy" settings on my... Worst customer service. I have asked for help for 4 years. First was told I make to much money then I was told I don't make enough money. They call me 6 times a day even though my payment is not late. I have asked them multiple times to stop harassing me but they refuse to stop calling me. I have talked to multiple people, one person said it would not be a problem to modify my loan to the same terms as my first mortgage then came back and said I... Read more

What sleaze! Mike Schoonover of Citibank promised me that he would approve my mortgage if I put a 25pct down payment on the property which I told him I would do without a problem. He contacted the seller's broker and told her the same. I went forward with the deal and once the contract was signed he backed out and blamed me for misunderstanding. He ranted and raved incoherantly about how this was everyone else's fault. In the meantime, I... Read more

Repeatedly have trouble with Citimortgage. Years ago they had me 3 months delinquent in the credit bureaus. Discovered they applied my payments to someone else's account. Finally corrected. Now I tried to pay off my balance. Received Payoff figures but got runaround as to method they accept. Paid from my bank direct to them. They claim not to have received. Searched records. My bank helped to no avail. Had to cancel payment & start over. Of... Read more

Applied for a loan modification and turned in paperwork several times. Never got a response about modification , only that they did not receive the paperwork. I thought banks were bailed out by the government and were told to modify loans through the HAMP program. Eventually was forced into bankruptcy. My husband and I owned and lived in the home for 23 years. They flat out stole our home. Very tramatic for our whole family. We are... Read more

Citibank is going out of its way to please the Department of Treasury, like all the financial (Chase, BofA, Welles) and social media companies (Whatsapp/Facebook/Twitter) all are competing to provide financial and intelligence information to the government.. Is that GOOD or BAD, it's not my judgment or call.. the purpose of this information is to expose the truth behind all the financial reporting and social media gathering. These companies... Read more

Citigroup - Citi Mortgage as Hamp servitor of hardship modification

Between August 2, 2007 and January 27, 2013 we were never late on our mortgage despite a rate of 8.25 % and it being 53% of the combined income of my wife and I. In January her weight dropped to 87 pounds then she got diagnosed with rectal cancer and had to have her rectum and *** removed by surgery. Despite going through chemo therapy and radiation it metastasized to her lungs and became a type 4 cancer. Medicare has paid 80%, Medicaid 20% and... Read more
